Forge

Every weekend was the same, me sitting in a booth, my eyes never leaving him. He was always with a different guy, moving fluidly on the dance floor, his body at one with the music.

I was always watching, always wishing he would notice me, but he never did. Never once did his green eyes find my blue, not even a glance in my general direction.

But that was about to change; it was time for me to forge ahead with my plan. Operation Get Noticed was about to begin.

I sighed at my inability to follow through.
